JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Two early morning crashes backed up traffic in Jonesboro Monday morning.

It happened shortly after 7 a.m. in front of NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, 4800 E. Johnson Avenue.

A Jonesboro police officer on the scene said a white GMC pickup truck rear-ended a gray GMC pickup truck on Highway 49, and the impact of the crash forced the gray GMC pickup truck into a black car, causing the first accident.

The officer said a brown Chrysler car later came in and rear-ended the white GMC truck, causing a second accident.

No injuries were reported.
