Pharmacy, doctor's office burgled within several hours

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Sunday began with Jonesboro police called to two commercial burglaries.

At 1:08 a.m. Officer Joseph McDermott responded to an alarm at Stone's Pharmacy, 417 E. Matthews.

According to his report, someone apparently threw a large rock through the glass door.

At first glance, McDermott said it did not appear anything had been disturbed. The store's owner said he would contact the police department if he determined anything was missing.

Less than 5 hours later, Officer Scott West responded to a general alarm call at 3202 Methodist Dr. where someone reportedly broke out a window and entered Dr. Danny Grubbs's office.

Grubbs told police, after they cleared the building, it appeared the thief stole a Toshiba laptop, valued at $600.

It was the second time this month someone burgled his office. He believes it might be the same person.
