WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) -

Police hope by releasing surveillance images, the public can help identify a man wanted for questioning in a man’s murder.

At 6:46 a.m. Sunday, West Memphis police responded to a call of a man found dead in the 2900-block of Autumn Avenue.

Police said the victim, 56-year-old Michael Gregory of Memphis, had been shot.

During their investigation, detectives found several items that led them to a West Memphis gas station and a Walmart on Winchester Road in Memphis.

According to a news release from Captain Joe Baker, surveillance video at both locations showed Gregory with an unidentified man.

The man was seen wearing a black shirt and shorts, black tennis shoes and a black do-rag on his head. He was driving a dark blue Chevy Blazer with no license plate and spare tire on the back hatch.

If anyone recognizes the man or has any information on this crime, they should contact the West Memphis Police Department at (870) 735-1210 or the Crittenden County Crimestoppers at (870) 732-4444.
