CORNING, AR (KAIT) - Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested four people last week after they found drugs during a home search.
According to a press release posted on the department's Facebook page, Corning police and Clay County deputies searched a home in the 1100-block of Garland Street Thursday.
During the search, they found "a substantial amount" of methamphetamine along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators also found a small amount of marijuana and several firearms.
Deputies arrested Kevin Hensley, Mary Hensley, Shaman Stevens, and Daniel Jackson.
They are each facing several charges including possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to manufacture, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
They also got an enhancement because the house was within 1,000 feet of a church or school.
Kevin Hensley's bond was set at $100,000.
Mary Hensley and Stevens each got a bond of $50,000 and Jackson was given a bond of $25,000.
"We are not going to stand still and allow drugs in our community, and around our schools," the press release stated. "We as law enforcement agencies with a great working relationship are going to work together to fight this problem."
