WEINER, AR (KAIT) -

A back-to-school celebration offers free activities for kids in one Region 8 town.

A Back-to-School Block Party is Sunday, Aug. 28, from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Center in Weiner.

According to a Facebook post, there will be inflatables, train rides, games, and food at the event.

Everything is free for the students.

The Cardinal Center will be accepting canned goods or toiletry items at the party to donate to the Little Free Pantry in Weiner or the Weiner Outreach Center.

This is made possible by support from local churches and Cardinal Community Services.

The Weiner Elementary School of Innovation encourages students and their families to come and enjoy the festivities.
