CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Cross County Sheriff's Department says three people are now facing drug charges after a traffic stop.
According to a press release, a deputy worked a traffic stop early Sunday morning on County Road 602.
Around 1:20 a.m., he noticed a passenger in a passing Lincoln Town Car was not wearing his seat belt.
According to the release, the deputy attempted to stop the car but the driver did not pull over for two miles.
When the driver finally stopped, deputies saw 36-year-old Lisa Ranson, 30-year-old Justin Scott and 28-year-old Joshua Mitchell in the vehicle.
When they searched the vehicle, deputies found 34.1 grams of methamphetamine, $847.09 in cash, scales, and a firearm.
Deputies arrested all three people in the vehicle.
Ranson was charged with possession of drugs and a firearm.
Scott and Mitchell were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and purpose to deliver.
Bonds were set at $50,000.
