Two new cases of Zika confirmed in AR

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Health has confirmed two new cases of the Zika virus in the state.

The department said those are travel-related cases and the total number of cases is now 12.

Just like the other cases, the department is not releasing where the victims are from. However, they did say the last two victims went to Central America.

The Zika virus is a threat to pregnant women because it can cause birth defects.
