Imboden (AR) -

The city of Imboden is seeing a boost in business.

Imboden Mayor Chris Jones said construction has started on two new businesses and an existing church has moved to a new location after outgrowing their old church.

All three are along Highway 63 in Imboden including a NAPA Auto Parts store that Jones says is expected to open in early October, and a new, larger First Assembly of God Church.

After losing Iberia Bank in a group of closures throughout northeast Arkansas earlier this year, First National Bank will open a branch in Imboden.

Jones said the bank is currently operating in a temporary location until construction is finished on their building, which is expected to be wrapped up early 2017.

Jones said he believes this branch is one of the last local owned banks in the area, with its main branch in Walnut Ridge.
