HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) -

Residents in one Region 8 community plan to send donations to those affected by the Louisiana floods.

Harrisburg is holding a drive to send supplies to Baton Rouge.

The idea originated after one Harrisburg High School alumni lost their home in the flood.

A trailer will be parked in front of the Unico bank in Harrisburg until 9 p.m. Thursday.

The trailer will leave Friday morning to get the requested supplies to Baton Rouge by the weekend.
