Jackson County Library to host "How to Adult" class

JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Jackson County Library will host a class entitled "How to Adult" from September through November.  

According to a post on the library's Facebook page, the class will teach things like how to balance a checkbook, change a tire and even find an apartment.  

The class is open to all "emerging adults" between the ages of 16 and 40.  

The sessions are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the following days:

  • Sept. 10 - This session will cover basic car care.  
  • Oct. 8 - This session will address housing.  
  • Oct. 22 - This session will go over banking from setting up accounts to budgeting.  
  • Nov. 19 - During this session dealing with stress and anxiety will be discussed.

    The National Weather Service has extended to tornado watch now include Izard, Sharp, and Stone counties along with Cleburne, Independence, Jackson, White, and Woodruff counties until 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
