WYNNE, AR (KAIT) -

Wynne Intermediate School says they have been blessed by a special employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Billy Sides has been a custodial engineer for the school since 2012, but he shows up to school early each day to pray in front of the flagpole.

Sides said God has laid it on his heart to show up each morning.

He said he prays for many things but some things are in his prayers daily.

"About the kid's safety, all the parent's, faculty, and staff, and bus driver's safety, and just the community as a whole," said Sides.

"I hope it's bringing the community together as a whole, and closer to God," he added.

He said he looks for the Lord's guidance as he goes to the flagpole each day.

Sides said he will remain praying faithfully and others have even joined him in prayer.

The school hopes his prayers continue to affect the community in a positive way.
