Murder suspect arrested after missing trial date
Blytheville police arrested a murder suspect Saturday after finding out he was released from jail in another state.
According to Scott Adams with the police department, 19-year-old Javander Williams was scheduled for trial last week in the death of Dewaun Miller.
Williams did not appear in court though because he was in a Tennessee jail for drug charges and had not made bond yet.
The trial was rescheduled and a bench warrant was issued for Williams’s arrest.
On Friday, Williams made bond and was released from jail.
Detectives learned he was back in Blytheville and found him at a house in the 200-block of East Kentucky.
The person at the house said Williams was not inside and had already run out the back door.
Officers surrounded the house and Williams came out around 20 minutes later.
He was arrested without further incident.
