TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) -

A thief broke into a Trumann mother’s home and stole several of her children’s belongings while she was moving out of the house.

“They could've taken everything of mine as long as they left my kids' stuff alone,” Kaysi Bishop, the mother of six said. “I wouldn't even have called the cops.”

However, that was not the case. They left everything belonging to Bishop and her boyfriend alone.

"What bothers me the most is they took the time to actually go through it all and ended up taking everything my kids play with," Bishop said.

According to Trumann police, it happened sometime over the weekend at the woman's home on Speedway Street.

Bishop said she left several of her children's things inside that she planned to pick up Sunday.

The mother went into her home to find what was left of her children's toys and clothes scattered across the floor.

She said the suspect stole several items including a bicycle, some toys, and tubs of her 2-year-old child's clothes.

“He had a good $300 worth of trains with the tracks and it’s all gone,” Bishop said.

She said her toddler keeps asking when he will get his toys back.

“I mean, how do I explain that to him,” she said. "I hope whoever took the stuff has a kid that gets to play with them and is not trying to sell them or make profit off of them because now my kids have to do without,”

Police say they are attempting to locate the suspect.

Meanwhile, Bishop hopes whoever is responsible will come forward.

Anyone with information should contact the Trumann Police Department at (870) 483-6423.
