Greene County Deputies Raid Paragould Meth Lab

MAY 2, 2005 - Posted at 4:37 p.m. CDT

PARAGOULD, AR - An on-going undercover drug investigation that dates back to 2003 apparently came to fruition this afternoon for the Greene County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrested the owner of a home in the 1700 block of Tenth Street in Paragould, as they raided what was described as a working methamphetamine laboratory, according to Sheriff Dan Langston.  "It looks like it's been going on for quite a while.  There's a lot of precursors on the inside, then some product on the inside, a lot of residue and everything in the entire house.  So it's been going on for quite a while," said Langston.

Authorities also recovered at least two weapons in the raid.  The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
