LITTLE ROCK, AR - Regular walking was one of the elements to Governor Huckabee's successful effort to lose more than 100 pounds. Now, the governor is offering 12 steps for others to follow.
Huckabee's new book is called "Quit Digging Your Grave with a Knife and Fork." It is due to hit bookstores on May 10. Huckabee has written other books, about youth violence and legacy-building.
The governor says in his new book that people who want to lose weight should be confident, and that they should look forward to the reward of a healthier life, one that can make living fun again.
Huckabee says several things helped him become determined to lose weight, including an assessment by a doctor in 2003 that he had less than ten years to live if he did not become thinner.
