JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A realtor from Jonesboro has been named a finalist for a national award for her work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Danna Johnson, an employee of Crye-Leike Realtors, is a finalist for Realtor Magazine’s Good Neighbor Awards.

Johnson is also the co-chair of the Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon, an event that benefits the Mid-South chapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation that KAIT and the Jonesboro Radio Group helps put on every February.

Johnson, highlighted by the National Association of Realtors, said the Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon is successful due to so many volunteers. In her 18 years of work, she said those volunteers have helped grant wishes all over northeast Arkansas.

“Anyone who has ever needed a reason to get out of bed every day should have an opportunity to meet a wish child,” Johnson told the National Association of Realtors. “They will bless your life in ways you never dreamed possible.”

Johnson said she has helped Make-a-Wish raise more than $3 million dollars since 1999.

In 2016, the Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon raised more than $400,000 for the Mid-South chapter, helping grant wishes for children.
