BONO, AR (KAIT) -

Deputies in Craighead County are investigating a string of car break-ins and one car theft in the Bono area.

According to a Craighead County Sheriff’s Department incident report, a man reported one of his vehicles had been stolen from his home on County Road 130.

He said a security camera on his property shows someone taking the 2006 Toyota Rav-4 around 5:30 Tuesday morning.

The man told deputies the suspect broke into another vehicle and stole several debit and credit cards, phones and cash.

While investigating, deputies discovered another case of vehicle break-ins next door.

According to an incident report, the neighbors flagged deputies saying their vehicles had been broken into as well.

A woman told deputies someone broke into several vehicles and took $800 in cash and several bags.

Deputies are also investigating a third case of vehicle break-ins on County Road 130 along with cases on Country Road 118 and Highway 63 North.

In several of the cases, the cars were left unlocked.
