Former pastor pleads guilty to child porn charges

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The former pastor of a Brookland church entered a guilty plea in Craighead County Circuit Court.

According to court documents obtained by Region 8 News, John Mark Wilson, the former minister of the Brookland Church of Christ, pleaded guilty to distributing, possession and viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

Wilson pleaded guilty and will receive 36 months of supervised probation, according to his unconditional guilty plea statement.

Jonesboro police said they found five images of child pornography on Wilson’s computer. According to the probable cause affidavit, Wilson admitted to downloading and viewing child porn.
