JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Applications for downtown improvement grants are now being accepted in both Paragould and Jonesboro.

The Downtown Jonesboro Association announced Friday that the Downtown Building Improvement Grant is now open.

It was previously known as the Downtown Façade Grant Program.

All downtown property owners and merchants are welcome to apply for a grant online or by contacting the Downtown Jonesboro Association at (870) 919-6176 or emailing info@downtownjonesboro.com.

The grant cycle will close at 5 p.m. on September 30.

The press release also reminded business owners that if they have any design questions to contact a member of the association’s design committee or schedule a free design consultation.

Main Street Paragould’s grant cycle began Thursday.

The organization said projects that could get grant money are things like new paint, installation of windows, appropriate signage, awnings, and electrical service for window display or exterior fixtures.

Applications for Paragould are also due Sept. 30.

If you have questions or need an application, call (870) 240-0544 or email mainstr@paragould.net.
