WYNNE, AR (KAIT) - One Region 8 mother is now an even bigger fan of the Wynne Yellowjackets.
The Henderson family cheered on the team Friday night but it is not the first time they have seen them this week.
Players on the team say Grace Henderson touched their hearts when they visited her home while fundraising.
It was then that Dilliu Henderson spoke with the team about her 9-year-old daughter's heart condition.
Grace has had heart problems since she was just three days old and in April she received a transplant.
The team decided that they needed to do something special for the girl who inspired them.
They gifted Grace with a signed plaque and Dilliu says the gesture touched her heart.
"It gives me hope for my kids to have someone to look up to and it gives me hope for the next generation," said Henderson.
"They just talked to us for a few minutes and they prayed with us and it humbled my heart," she added.
The Henderson family says the plaque will have a special place in their home
Despite the outcome of their game on Friday Coach Kenneth Moore says the team already has a win that will last for seasons to come.
