Hundreds and hundreds of people took advantage of the beautiful weather to kick off the first Red Wolf home game of the season, even with it being a Friday.

The Big Great A-State Tailgate at Tailgate City kicked off at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, and it was a sea of red in support of the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Ricky Newsom said though there were plenty of high school games he could have chosen from, there's just no beating an A-State home game.

"It's the atmosphere, you can't beat it. When the players walk down and give the kids and everybody else high fives and stuff like that, and the atmosphere in the stadium, when they run out the tunnel and stuff, it's unreal," Newsom said. "You can't find that on TV or at a high school game."

Prior to the game, the 20th Annual Order of the Pack took place inside Centennial Bank Stadium.
