JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Trumann man faces a felony drug charge after originally being accused of theft in Jonesboro.

According to a Jonesboro police report, authorities were called to Hays Grocery, 1000 Gee Street, in reference to a theft Friday morning.

A woman told police she dropped her debit card outside the store. She told police Edward Williams, 47, had the card.

Williams showed police his debit card which was the same color of the woman's missing card. The card Williams had also had his name on it.

He agreed to allow police to search him for the woman’s card.

Police did not find it on Williams, but they did locate two small bags of suspected methamphetamine inside of a can.

Williams was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center where he awaits a probable cause hearing.

He was charged with possession of meth or cocaine less than 2 grams.

The missing debit card was found in the owner’s car.
