Police: woman found unconscious at Jonesboro intersection

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police say a woman is facing multiple charges after they found her unconscious in a vehicle.

According to the incident report, it happened at 3:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Fairway and Fairview Drive.

Police were called to investigate a vehicle that had been sitting at the intersection for some time.

When authorities arrived,  they saw 35-year-old Mandy Gilbert unconscious in the driver's seat.

The officer knocked on the window several times before Gilbert finally rolled it down.

According to the incident report, she was incoherent, sweaty and had no shoes on.

After failing a standardized field sobriety test, Gilbert was arrested.

When police searched her, they found a plastic bag which contained what they believed to be meth.

Gilbert was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and charged with possession of a schedule I or II substance less than 2 grams, DWI, no proof of liability insurance and careless and prohibited driving.
