1 killed, 3 injured in holiday weekend crash

BOLLINGER COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - Four Missouri residents were involved in a fatal crash over the holiday weekend.

The crash happened in Bollinger County on Highway 91, about three miles north of Advance.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christina Parker, 31, of Marble Hill was driving north around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when the front of her 2010 Chevy Equinox struck the front of a 2013 Dodge Journey traveling in the southbound lane.

Mary G. Fox, 75, of Advance was riding in the Dodge and later pronounced dead at a Cape Girardeau hospital, according to MSHP.

The van's driver, 79-year-old Alvin Fox of Advance, and Parker were taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries.

A passenger in the van, 12-year-old Sydney Cobb of Advance, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a St. Louis hospital.

All were wearing seat belts.
