BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The last couple of days have been difficult for one Blytheville woman: twice in as many days she has been the victim of crime.
First, a man stole the 35-year-old woman's purse then two days later someone broke the windows out of her car.
She reported the purse snatching happened in the parking lot of El Puerto Restaurant, 1520 E. Main, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The victim said that after eating she had gone out to her vehicle to get her purse. While walking back to the restaurant, she said a man grabbed her purse and began to pull away with it.
The woman said she struggled with the man, but he managed to get the purse, which contained approximately $700, and ran from the area.
On Monday, at 9 p.m., the woman reported someone broke the windows out of her car while parked in the 300-block of Lakewood Street.
She stated she had left the car for about an hour and when she returned she found the front windshield, and both passenger-side front and rear windows, damaged.
