BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A Blytheville man was arrested after threatening a woman with a sawed-off shotgun.
According to a police report, Blytheville police responded to the 800-block of Carla Street on Sept. 1.
The caller said that Cameron Wells, 18, was out in her yard with a sawed-off shotgun.
When officers arrived, they spoke to Wells who said he did not have the gun and that a family member called police to get him in trouble.
When police spoke to the caller, she said he had threatened her in the past with the weapon and had been walking around with it.
When police spoke to Wells, an officer noticed the gun in the back of a vehicle.
One of the people at the scene with Wells said he had been driving around with it and did not know it was in the vehicle.
The man told officers they could take the gun out of the truck.
The barrel had been cut down to approximately 14" and the butt of the gun had been cut down into a pistol grip.
Wells was taken to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office and given a temporary bond of $75,000.
Tuesday, Wells was bound over to circuit court.
The judge set his bond at $50,000.
