KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - The Kennett Police Department responded to an incident after neighbors reported a suspicious male in the area on Tuesday.
According to a news release, officers arrived in the 700-block of North Street around 4 p.m. at a vacant residence where they believed the suspect was hiding.
While officers cleared the scene, they heard yelling, leading them to see the suspect had entered a different residence.
Officers secured the suspect, who was not identified, without incident.
According to the release, he was "extremely intoxicated and suffering from psychological issues."
He was transported by ambulance to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
