The Craighead County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fire as arson after they learned the home caught fire previously.

According to an incident report from the sheriff's office, the home, located in the 4300 block of Highway 18, caught fire at 12:30 Thursday morning. When fire crews arrived, the home was in flames. The building is a total loss.

The residence is located right across the street from Cash City Hall.

Lt. Gerald Goza with the Cash Fire Department said no one was hurt in the fire.

Police Chief Paul Slagley told investigators that the property was "possibly involved in litigation between the city of Cash and the home/property owner."

Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd told Region 8 News that the investigators were going through the rubble Thursday.

No arrests have been made.
