JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

When someone says they are “car hopping” it doesn’t mean they are working as a server at a local Sonic. It means they are walking around looking for cars to break into.

That’s the words straight from the mouths of several Jonesboro youths who were picked up late Tuesday night for allegedly breaking into vehicles on the west side of Jonesboro.

According to the report from Jonesboro police, six people were arrested for breaking or entering.

One of those six was also arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

21-year-old Kelton D. Boyce is facing those charges after he and five juveniles were seen allegedly breaking into vehicles in the area of Oak and Warner Streets.

The report from Jonesboro police does not indicate if any items were stolen from any of the vehicles that were reportedly broken into.

The report also says Boyce had a BB gun in his possession.

He is not facing any charges for having the pistol.

The five other suspects, all juveniles, face possible charges of vehicle breaking or entering and given a court date of Oct. 15, 2016.
