KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - The Kennett Humane Department is trying to find more information about how a dog got injured.
Tena Petix with the humane department said they picked up the dog on North Main and Clipper Street.
She said the dog was "bleeding out."
Staff members took the dog to the Kennett Veterinary Clinic where they determined he had been shot.
The humane department is now trying to find the dog's owner.
They are also trying to find who shot the dog.
