One man killed, another injured in weekend crash

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

One Region 8 man died and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.

Charles T. Martin, 62, of Mountain Home, was heading north on Arkansas Highway 5 in Baxter County.

Around 2 p.m. Saturday, Maurice Wood, 74, of Cotter, pulled out of a parking lot to turn left onto the highway and struck Martin's vehicle, according to the Arkansas State Police crash report.

Martin died in the crash.

Crews took Wood to Baxter Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
