JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

One Region 8 mom says her son has been blessed by an outpouring of love after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Destyn Drake, 12, has been in and out of the hospital since May.

Destyn's mom Felicia says despite the emotional turmoil, the family has found joy after the people of Jackson County stepped up on their behalf.

They have raised money in various ways for the family, including starting an online auction on Facebook.

Destyn's mom says the way the school and community have helped them is too great to count. Their efforts have even reached overseas.

"One guy told me he had a friend in Israel and they prayed for him at the garden of Gethsemane and a candle was lit for him in London," said Drake.

The auction, which was started by Modern Woodmen, will be live until 2 p.m. on Sept. 23. The group also plans to hold a spaghetti supper that day.

Anyone who wishes to get involved or help in any way can call Marcus Hembrey of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial at (870) 512-8201.

You can find the auction on the group's Facebook page "D-Train's Brain Gang."
