Man wanted for attempted murder arrested

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police have just arrested a man accused of shooting someone multiple times. Jonesboro police issued an arrest warrant for him around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The warrant was issued for Corey Lamont McCullon of Trumann for the charge of criminal attempt to commit murder in the second degree.

He is accused of shooting Jeremy Walker several times in the torso in the 1800-block of Cedar Heights on Monday, Sept. 5.

Detective Sgt. Steve Richardson developed McCullon as the suspect after a series of interviews and collecting evidence from the scene and elsewhere.

Trumann Police arrested him around 4:35 p.m. on Cross Avenue in Trumann. Officers said he surrendered peacefully.
