CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Craighead County will not get new voting machines that officials hoped for before this year's election in November.

Craighead County Clerk Kade Holliday said the county was not picked as one of the first pilot counties.

However, Holliday said additional machines are being added, they are just not new.

"We've added 50 new ones," Holliday said. "We'll actually be opening around 12 to 15 additional machines for early vote to help with moving that process through."

He said they will be adding the additional machines to some of their busier sites.

Those machines came from White County.

Holliday said we should see the new machines statewide during the 2017-2018 cycle.
