Man threatens to shoot teens, steals necklace

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police are investigating after two minors were threatened and robbed Tuesday evening.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department incident report, an officer responded to a robbery around 7 p.m.

One teenage boy told police that a man robbed him at a gas station earlier in the day.

The boy said he was getting air for his truck tire and waiting for his cousin to come out of the store when the suspect walked up to him and asked for the gold chain he had around his neck.

When the boy said no, the suspect reportedly pulled up his shirt and showed a gun in his waistband.

The teen then gave the man his necklace, according to the report.

At that point, the victim's cousin walked outside.

The suspect asked if either of the teenagers had any money and they both said no.

The man then reportedly told the boys that they "better come up with $50 a piece in two days or he would shoot them both."

The report lists three suspects, but no arrests have been made in this case yet.

If you have any information about the robbery, call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
