CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - A woman and a 16-year-old boy are in custody in the shooting death of a man in Cape Girardeau.
The Southeast Missourian reports that 23-year-old Tyyeema Cleaves is charged with second-degree murder, attempted robbery and armed criminal action in the Sept. 7 death of 31-year-old Willie Brown Jr. of Cape Girardeau.
The 16-year-old's name has not been released. He is being held in another state on unrelated charges, but authorities in Cape Girardeau County are seeking extradition.
Prosecutor Chris Limbaugh says that before a juvenile can be charged as an adult, he must be certified to stand trial as an adult.
Brown was shot six times. He was taken to a hospital and died the following day.
