WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) -

The annual Beatles at the Ridge festivals benefits more than just the city of Walnut Ridge.

Mayor Charles Snapp said the festival has brought notoriety to the city.

People from all over the country come to the event, some come from as far away as England.

Mayor Snapp said to get to Walnut Ridge, you have to come from somewhere.

“So if they are coming through Black Rock, Imboden. If they are coming through Jonesboro, Paragould, Newport, people are going to stop and buy soda, sandwiches, fuel and that's what it's all about,” Mayor Snapp said.

While the hotels are sold out in Walnut Ridge, other places like Pocahontas and Jonesboro are also benefiting with visitors.
