CABOT, AR (KAIT) -

Bowling takes more than just luck. For an Arkansas boy, his focus on the next spare or strike was interrupted by an unexpected visitor.

Nicholas Johnson, 6, and his brothers were wearing their favorite superhero shirts on Sunday in Cabot.

Nicholas told KARK-TV that his dad is his favorite superhero.

On Sunday, Nicholas thought he had a few more days to wait for his superhero to come home from Afghanistan.

His dad, United States Air Force Master Sergeant Brian Johnson, walked through the bowling alley’s door days ahead of schedule.

"To hear my kids say that they think of me as a hero is very special to me and makes me proud," Brian Johnson told KARK-TV.
