SEARCY - After three games, Harding football has outscored its opponents 136-28 and on Monday moved into the American Football Coaches Association Top 25 for the first time this season. The Bisons are No. 25.
Harding replaced Valdosta State in the poll. The Blazers dropped out after losing 44-19 to North Alabama.
Harding is in the AFCA Top 25 for the 32nd time since 2002. The last time the Bisons landed in the poll was Oct. 5, 2015, when they ranked 22nd.
On Saturday, Harding will play its 29th game as a ranked team. The Bisons are 19-9 in those games and have only played one game as the 25th-ranked team, a 34-14 victory over Ouachita Baptist in 2012.
Northwest Missouri State leads the poll, followed by Grand Valley State and West Georgia.
