Steele PD: Three arrested in federal warrant search

STEELE, MO (KAIT) -

Three people are custody after authorities seized drugs and drug paraphernalia after a search on Monday. 

According to Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield, 24-year-old Laura Myers of Steele, 63-year-old Troy Lynn Watson of Cooter, and 64-year-old Michael Neal of Blytheville were arrested at a home in the 300-block of Sheeley Street in Steele. 

Charges are filed against the three as follows:

  • Myers, three counts possession of a controlled substance with bond set at $25,000
  • Watson, possession of a controlled substance with bond set at $25,000
  • Neal, possession of a controlled substance with bond set at $25,000

Stanfield said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives , Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office, Steele Police Department, and Caruthersville Police Department worked on the case.

A 31-year-old Steele man was also arrested Monday after a traffic stop south of Steele after authorities found a substantial amount of meth, Stanfield said. 

The man's name is being withheld pending the filing of formal charges.
