JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man faces several charges after officers found roughly $1,300 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop on Monday morning.

According to a Jonesboro police report, Officer Try Chism saw a red sport utility vehicle going west on Johnson Avenue around 12:30 a.m., changing lanes several times and then making an improper turn. Chism pulled over the vehicle at the corner of Burke Avenue and Union Street.

While talking to the driver, Edwin Escalera-Santana, 21, Jonesboro, Chism said he noticed a marijuana smell inside the vehicle and saw a black plastic cup sitting in the vehicle console. Inside the plastic cup was four bags of cocaine.
