PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - After more than a year of work, renovations to the Mission Outreach facility are complete.
Mission Outreach Executive Director Jeremy Biggs said the building had issues with leaks and rust and was in need of some much needed work.
With the help of a $188,000 grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, construction on the Mission Outreach facility began in February.
Work was done to replace the siding, add nine new heat and air units, 29 new energy efficient windows, four inches of insulation and pave the entire parking lot which used to be gravel.
"We're very excited to rehab this facility which was 34 years old and was in need of a lot of tlc," Biggs said. "We know this project will benefit us in the long run and save us money every month."
Paragould community leaders gathered at Mission Outreach for a ribbon cutting Wednesday afternoon, celebrating its significance in the community and its growth.
