Blytheville police search for shooting suspect

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Authorities in Blytheville said Thursday that they were looking for someone who fired a weapon at a juvenile earlier this week.

According to Detective Scott Adams, officers went to the 600 block of Parkway Street about 5 p.m. Wednesday in connection with the case. Police spoke to the juvenile, whose name was not released.

"Upon my arrival, I made contact with the juvenile victim, who stated she got shot at," Adams said. "Juvenile advised she was visiting the father of her child, playing around."

The juvenile told police that the suspect got mad, pulled out a small pistol, and shot in her direction as she was holding her child, Adams said.

Anyone with information on the case can call Blytheville police at (870) 763-4411.
