JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Supporters of Jonesboro’s first dog park hope residents will join them in fetching the funds needed to build it.

The Bark Park committee will kick off its fundraising campaign to build an off-leash dog park at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jonesboro Country Club, 1408 E. Nettleton.

Those interested in helping the campaign should attend, according to a news release from Bill Campbell, the city’s communications director.

The campaign will be in cooperation with the City of Jonesboro, which will build and run it at Craighead Forest Park.

The park is expected to cost $146,000.
