PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A grocery store in Paragould enjoyed an afternoon in the 1950's as they raised funds for children in need.
The Walmart Neighborhood Market invited members of the community to enjoy food, drinks and 50's music.
This is the first time they've held the fundraiser and proceeds raised support the Children's Miracle Network.
Assistant Manager Kathy Massey says sweating on a hot day was worth it for a great cause
"I think it will get the community more involved and will help us raise money to help our children who are less fortunate. We can just give back to them so as a community we need to all support it," Massey said.
Massey says their goal at today's event was to raise $500.
