JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas drivers continue to pay less at the pump than the rest of the country.
GasBuddy.com reports the average price for gasoline fell 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week, to an average of $1.96.
The national average fell just 0.7 cents during the same time frame to $2.20 per gallon.
Arkansas drivers are paying 6.9 cents per gallon less than they did last year.
According to GasBuddy, gasoline prices on Sept. 26 have ranged widely in the previous five years:
- 2015: $2.03/gallon
- 2014: $3.12/gallon
- 2013: $3.18/gallon
- 2012: $3.62/gallon
- 2011: $3.34/gallon
