DELAPLAINE, AR - The Delaplaine City Council will hold a special meeting Monday night to discuss a grant the city received to rebuild its sewer system.
The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the city hall.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently awarded Delaplaine a $131,000 grant and a $77,000 loan to improve its sewer system. The Arkansas National Resources Commission also awarded the town an $80,000 grant.
Mayor Larry Myrick said the city plans to replace the current 25-year-old equipment in its substations with new motors, pump stations, and stainless steel pieces.
