Police officer suspended for wearing clown costume

An Arkansas police officer has been suspended without pay for what he was wearing in a picture posted on social media.

According to a report by KATV, White Hall Police Officer Dustin Summers wore a clown costume for a picture that ended up on social media.

White Hall Police Lt. Mark Bradley said this comes days after the community has received clown sighting calls.

Officer Summers’ suspension lasts two days.

He was hired by the White Hall Police Department in December 2012 as a school resource officer for White Hall elementary schools. He has since been moved to patrol duty.
