Streets and parking lots close ahead of Barbecue Fest

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

As the Barbecue Festival rolls into town this weekend some parking lots and roads will close.

The city-owned parking lot at Main and Monroe will remain closed until Monday morning.  

Beginning Thursday around 6 p.m. Madison from Huntington to Washington, and Monroe from Union to the Justice Complex will close.  

On Thursday night the city-owned parking lot at Huntington and Union will close.  

A city-owned lot on Union will also close Thursday evening as vehicles leave for the day.  

A lot behind the police barracks will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday. 

Union from Huntington to Washington will close around 8 a.m. on Friday.

The following streets will close at midnight on Friday and remain closed until 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Main Street and Huntington between Union and Church, Monroe (Church to Union) Burke/ Cate (Union to Main).
