For over 53 years, KAIT has had the pleasure of serving you.  There's no doubt in anyone's mind that Region 8 has grown so much over that time and here at KAIT, we've been blessed to be able to grow right along with you.

In January of 2015, KAIT gained the NBC affiliation for our 8.2 channel and NBC Region 8 was born.

This Monday, we are growing again.

We are proud to announce a brand new local newscast will premiere on NBC Region 8. This is a cornerstone event for everyone in Region 8 and here at KAIT because our NBC Region 8 will be the second and only other station in Region 8 to locally produce a newscast, anchored and created by the people you trust.

6:30 p.m. is the time because people are busy.  Lots of people get off work after 5 p.m., and some are busy after work and don't get home until after 6 p.m.

NBC Region 8 News at 6:30 p.m. will be a newscast at a convenient time anchored by veteran journalist Alison Munn. The 6:30 p.m. newscast will have a refreshing approach because it will focus on not wasting your time and making sure you are informed of everything going on before you sit down to dinner.

Check out NBC Region 8 News at 6:30 p.m. starting Monday and let us know what you think.

Growth is good, growing together is better, and it makes this A Better Region 8.
